For over 20 years, my family and I have made Sport Court our life, our passion, and our commitment to our community. Back in the day, both cottagers and folks with the property space would occasionally treat themselves to a tennis court – a real sign of success and class. But, inevitably, those courts would suffer the wear and tear of the Canadian climate or just go unused, as cottagers and their kids’ interests shifted to other recreations. Take our recent clients, the Fullertons. When we first came upon them, my first question to them was, why did they want (or need) to refurbish their existing court? “The court had cracks in it from what we believe was caused by moisture. This was the second time that it happened, so we had fixed it once already,” they explained, a common occurrence with asphalt-based courts. We recommended a resurfacing and refurbishing from Sport Court Ontario, part of an international network of Sport Court subsidiaries and the only Sport Court experts in Ontario.
When we redo or install a court, we build to the specifications and needs of each individual client. The size can vary to fit properties or landscapes; we offer 16 colours to choose from, custom playing lines, and a wide array of functionality (tennis nets, basketball nets, hockey boards, and of course, the latest rage: pickleball). We want you to be able to enjoy your court for any sport, not just tennis. Our courts are perfect for basketball, volleyball, badminton, inline skating, shuffleboard, lacrosse, soccer, and hockey – on the ice during the winter, and ball hockey in summer. We also install all the accessories, from lighting to ball containment fencing, and even refrigeration for rink conversion, which can maximize the usage of each project. Oh, and are you a Leafs fan? A Raptors fan? Are you “the North”? We can customize every court to match your fandom.
These aren’t the cracked asphalt courts besieged by weeds at your grandparents’ place in the ’70s. These are modern surfaces built with state-of-the-art materials, offering lateral forgiveness and shock absorption, which helps to prevent injuries and sore joints.
